I still cannot find music that I like. I found one that has Asian feeling and beat. To avoid boring tempo, I thought it could be cool if there is some up tempo. But the song I found has a rap. What if I could delete the rap...But I can't.
I still want to look for music over this week...

Animatic and Styleframe

I still not be able to find music yet, so what I did was just timming frames in 45 sec. What I want to show in this point is that slow in a begining and quick transition between picture in Paper door to the outside. animatic

What I want to show is the style of brushstroke, color,and texture.

Cannot find Music

For creating the animatic, I have been looking for a music but I cannot find a music piece that I really like yet...
What I was looking for was a calm Japanese tasted music. Yet I didn't want to get so-much "Japanese-Japanese" song.

But, I like Ryuichi Sakamoto's works. His piece is somewhat Asian tasted but not so much. He is well known for a composer of movie sound tracks such as The Last Emperor and Merry Christmas Mr. Laurence.

Through searching his music, I was inspired by his works that combine modern hip tune and calm traditional peaceful tune. Because I want to mix modern and traditional feeling in its visual, the music is not necessary to be classic-calm music.
of course, relaxed feeling music matches the images, but it may feel bored...?

Then the idea made me go back to the images again, maybe, I can mix up some modern side of Japan too?

Music research made me rethink about the entire project.

Revise

As I had a great suggestion about my ending in class, I revised storyboard . So now the title show up in the reflected sky in water, not in the sky.
As I research music, I think that 30 sec is apropriate for commercial. Since I didn't find music yet, so it may change but it will be 30sec-45sec.
So the statement will be
Thesis statement: A 30-45 second commercial for a Japanese travel, introducing the traditional beauty of simplicity by the technique of modern animation.

Research--organic transition

I found a good movie title design by chance on DVD.
It is Sympathy for Lady Vengeance
I really liked the feeling of very organic transition (growing plant and penetrating blood) and even the color treatment (Black white red). The organic transition would be key.
